About Yolanda
Diagnostic skills check before building the lesson plan is the starting point for all new students. I take the time to figure out exactly what you need before we pick up the guitar. My 13 years of experience inform how I structure sessions for advanced learners and hobbyists.
We jump into songwriting or complex scales if that is your goal. Sometimes we strip it back to basic rhythm guitar and strumming patterns to fix your technique. The process is very straightforward. You are in good hands.

Growing up in Trois-Rivieres meant that guitar music was always around me. I spent 13 years performing chanson francaise and Quebecois folk music before focusing on teaching. My BA in Music provides a strong framework for the technical skills I share with students. I have taught 414 individuals over 13 years of professional instruction.
Students often appreciate my ability to break down rhythm, strumming, and lead guitar concepts. My approach incorporates reading tabs, music theory, scales, and ear training for every level. Advanced learners, returning hobbyists, and dedicated beginners all find a home in my studio.
It is truly rewarding to see someone realize they can play their favorite songs. Helping you find your own voice on the instrument is what I do best.
