My teaching method focuses on building a strong foundation while making learning enjoyable and effective. I start by helping students develop good ergonomic techniques to avoid strain and play comfortably for longer. We work on mastering open chords and power chords, which are essential for many music styles. Finger dexterity exercises are a key part of my lessons to improve speed and accuracy.
I include ear training to help students recognize notes, chords, and progressions by listening. Understanding music theory is important too, so I teach concepts like Roman Numeral Chord Nomenclature to make chord progressions easier to understand and apply. For those interested in fingerstyle guitar, I offer detailed guidance to enhance control and expression.
Students who want to lead worship or perform on stage receive tailored support to excel in their roles. My lessons are flexible to fit each student’s goals, whether they want to play casually or professionally. I encourage regular practice and provide clear, step-by-step instructions.
Most importantly, I focus on creating a positive learning environment where students feel motivated and confident. With patience and personalized attention, I help students unlock their full potential on the guitar.
