About Phoebe

I am a guitar teacher with over 11 years of experience helping students achieve their musical goals. I hold a Diploma of Music with a specialization in guitar. My lessons focus on developing strong technique while nurturing creativity and musical expression. I have coached students for live performances, recording sessions, auditions, and music school entry. I guide learners in building confidence on stage and developing a captivating stage presence. Each lesson is structured, yet flexible, allowing room for creative exploration. I emphasize musical excellence while encouraging students to find their own voice. From improvisation to composition, I help students express themselves fully through the guitar. I also provide practical tips for performing, recording, and auditioning successfully. My teaching style is focused, patient, and supportive. I celebrate progress and push students to achieve their best. Whether you are preparing for an important performance or simply want to improve, I am here to guide and inspire you.

About the lesson

My teaching approach focuses on helping students explore the guitar as a tool for creative expression. I guide learners in developing strong technical skills while encouraging musical storytelling through melodies and chord progressions. Together, we explore dynamic contrast, tension and release, and theme development to make every piece come alive.

I cover all guitar styles, including classical, jazz, electric, acoustic, and bass, helping students discover their unique voice. Lessons are structured but flexible, adapting to each student’s goals and interests. I emphasize improvisation and composition, allowing students to create their own music while understanding music theory.

Beyond playing notes, I teach phrasing, rhythm, and emotional expression. Students learn to communicate stories through their instrument and connect with their audience. I also focus on performance skills, preparing learners for recitals, recordings, and live sessions.

For those drawn to rock, worship, or modern contemporary styles, I guide them in developing their skills to excel on stage or in group settings. My goal is to help students not just play guitar, but to feel confident, inspired, and passionate. Every lesson is interactive, fun, and designed to spark creativity while building strong fundamentals.
