About Ai

During the past year, I have taught students from age 5 to adult. Since I started learning guzheng from a young age, I understand how to help a student to reach a certain goal in guzheng playing. Young students enjoy learning guzheng with me because I teach basic skills in a way that interests them and catches their attention. I have high hopes for each of my students depending on their level of playing and expect them to practice the minimum amount every day according to what I summarized in class. After a class finishes, notes and a demonstration would be sent via the method preferred to help the student remember the knowledge learned.

About the lesson

A set of books from the Central Music Institute of China is recommended for students who wish to continue in Guzheng. Students will start with grade 1 material and continue their way up. A free trial lesson is offered to decide on the student's level of playing. For recreational players, the basics will first be taught and pieces will be based on student's interests.
