About Siena

Hi! I’m a junior at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn and a native Spanish speaker, fluent in both Spanish and French. I have previous tutoring experience from Spain, where I taught English primarily through conversational practice and homework support.

I’m patient, approachable, and passionate about languages. I create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and building confidence. I adapt my lessons to each student’s level and goals, whether they need help with schoolwork or want to become more comfortable speaking a language.

My goal is to make learning practical, enjoyable, and personalized while helping each student make steady progress.

My Teaching Approach

I am a native Spanish speaker and fluent in both Spanish and French. I have previous tutoring experience in Spain, where I helped students learn English through conversational practice and homework support.

My teaching style is relaxed, encouraging, and adapted to each student’s needs. I believe that the best way to learn a language is by actually using it, so I focus heavily on conversation and helping students feel comfortable speaking without being afraid of making mistakes.

A Typical Lesson

I usually begin by asking the student about what they are currently learning and what they would like to improve. Depending on their needs, we may work through homework, review grammar or vocabulary, practice pronunciation, or have a conversation around a specific topic.

For students who want to improve their speaking skills, I use everyday conversations and questions to help them naturally build vocabulary, improve fluency, and become more confident communicating.

What Sets Me Apart

As a native Spanish speaker who has also learned and speaks French fluently, I understand the importance of being able to communicate naturally rather than simply memorizing grammar rules. My previous tutoring experience taught me how useful conversational practice can be, and I try to make lessons feel comfortable and enjoyable while still helping students make real progress.

Who My Lessons Are For

I offer Spanish and French tutoring for beginners and intermediate students, including elementary, middle school, high school, and college students. I can help with homework, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, conversation practice, and general language skills.

I am also happy to work with students who simply want to become more confident speaking Spanish or French in everyday situations.
