Hands-on academic Spanish. Strong focus on communication, supported by the other skills: listening comprehension, writing, and reading. Additionally, we will focus on entonation, grammar, and culture.

Methodology

I connect with my students in a nonintimiding manner. This increases the students’ performance and makes a personable and worthwhile teaching experience. I engage students in the subject matter by utilizing a mix of strategies: interweaving culture with the target language, multi-sensorial learning strategies and integrating the most recent technologies to keep classes abreast and dynamic, implementing kinesthetic activities, all thiswithin a student-centered class.
The use of technology in the classroom allows me to implement assorted educational
strategies. I will mention some of them. It allows me to present a culture class, with Thinglink
website, students can watch a video from YouTube. It facilitates me to teach an inverted class.
Additionally, it allows to make group competition utilizing the tool kahoot.com. It is useful to
deliver a written collaborative project with the class, using the lang-8.com website. At last but
not least, I like to use voki.com, based on the creation of an avatar to create speaking
characters, allowing the students to be creative and reinforces the language that they are
learning.

Background

I posses a Master of Arts in Teaching Spanish: pedagogy, linguistics and literature. I also posses a Master of Arts in Management. I have taught Spanish to teenagers and adults: high school, online at university level, face-to-face at university and corporate level. The feedback that I received from my students: he is very passionate about the subject, his classes are a lot of fun, and he introduces a lot of culture intertwined with the grammar.

Perfect! Paul is very professional, enthusiastic and responsible. Great teacher.

Paul Mauricio's response

Both of Linda’s children are two smart teenagers. Spanish is the third language they are learning. They have the willingness and curiosity to learn. One is A1 level, the other is in A2 level. Throughout the two classes, one hour each, both participated and were involved in the learning process. Both need to learn the different sounds of the alphabet and the combinations that produce different sounds.
I am looking forward to continue teaching them.

I highly recommend Paul as an excellent teacher in English, as well as in Spanish.

He has dedicated his professional life to teach others who are looking to improve their language skills in the business world.

He has taken advantage of the current available tools, not only to continuing to improve his methodology, but also to help his student achieve what is necessary to be confident and comfortable speaking and writing the English language in order to be successful in the very competitive business world.

Profesor Paul and I studied together in graduate school. The program he completed there was a very in-depth, extensive, and high-quality preparation for teaching Spanish. He taught university-level classes there during his studies. Students loved him for the way that he would make class interesting each day by spontaneously incorporating music, stories, and culture into his lessons. Profesor Paul and I prepared lessons together many times to use in our classes. His firsthand knowledge about Venezuela and other South American countries was always useful as we created fun and engaging lessons for our students.

First of all, Paul's attitude and empathy allowed a smoother empowerment and uplifting of the goal which is to learn his knowledge of the class.
