About Sarah
I am a certified teacher with 20+ years of experience. I have taught in Nova Scotia, Melbourne (Australia) and New Brunswick. Math is the primary topic I have taught but I also have a background in Sciences and English Language Arts. My Bachelor of Science is from Dalhousie University and my Education Degree is from Mount Saint Vincent University.
I have worked in both public and private school systems and I fell in love with tutoring several years ago when I started helping a grade 8 student with his math at our local Starbucks.

In 2021, my tutoring client list had grown so much that I decided to open my own private classroom so that I could help more students. The SN Learning Studio officially opened in October, 2021 and has been helping students gain confidence and skills in math ever since.
My approach is as unique as my students themselves. Building trust and getting to know my students individually is a must. From there we explore math using hands-on and student-led activities. Students learn in the style that suits them best. With a fully-stocked classroom, there is opportunity for engaging activities and games for all learning styles. We make sure students feel comfortable and have FUN doing math.
