About Kyle

I am Kyle and I have been a qualified primary teacher (The University of Plymouth) for 11 years. I have a love for maths and inspiring learners to gain confidence in maths too, by working closely to identify how your "maths brain" works, because we are all different learners!

About the lesson

Using a carefully selected combination of written methods and interactive material, my sessions are aimed at carefully exploring the way in which your "maths brain" truly works!

We all have different approaches to solving both arithmetic and reasoning questions and it is all about identifying how your specific thought process can be best utilised to take on such problems with confidence and embracing the challenge!

I have been involved in primary education for the past 16 years and, in the past 11 years, I have been lucky enough to have been a primary class teacher in both Gloucestershire and in a private school overseas. This has helped me develop a keen eye for the many different ways that maths can be adapted, depending on the cognitive strengths of the individual. In my latest teaching role, I was also Head of Department, where I supported many other teachers in planning, delivering and assessing the teaching and learning of maths in their own classrooms, often inviting other teachers into my own classroom to support them by showing them new ways to deliver maths to their own students.

I have experience teaching across the primary phase and so I would be thrilled to support anyone who would benefit from tutoring from Year 3 to Year6 (ages 7-11).
