About Scarlett

Music theory is often boring until you see how it applies directly to the songs you love. I ignore the standard dry methods in favor of a hands-on approach. We can spend time on ear training or refining your reading of sheet music.

If you have been struggling with a specific solo, we take it apart note by note. I provide a monthly recorded review of progress so you can hear exactly how much you have grown. My 9 years of gig-tested experience guide these sessions toward practical application. Playing should feel like a relief at the end of the day.

About the lesson

Working professionals often reach for their dusty acoustic guitars after a long day to find some peace. I specialize in helping self-taught players move past those frustrating plateaus. You might struggle with chord transitions or feel like your improvisation lacks a clear direction. Because I have taught 154 students, I know exactly where the common bottlenecks appear.

My background in Québécois folk and songwriting brings a unique flavor to our sessions. I hold a BA Music from McGill and keep the vibe chill during our time together. We can work on scales, modes, or just getting your power chords sounding tight.

My goal is to keep our time together low pressure while we build your technical foundation. You will leave our sessions feeling more capable than you were when you arrived.
