About Michael
At age 15 I began to teach guitar for the very music school I had learned from and to perform as a singer/guitarist at small venues in Montreal. I love teaching and have continued over the years to broaden my musical knowledge by learning to play piano, flute, clarinet and saxophone. I continue to learn to this day.

Lesson are $25 per half hour. The approach is flexible and is always presented in a fun way for younger students. It can involve reading music in notation or tablature, or simply working with chord charts and playing patterns. Familiar music, as often as possible, is used to facilitate learning and strong emphasis is placed on left hand, fingerpicking and pick techniques allowing branching to many musical genres (from classical to rock) as the student progresses. Teacher expectations vary according to abilities and practice time that can be achieved on an individual basis. Instruction is for beginners, young or old, up to intermediate players who want to broaden specific skills.
