About Thibaut

I’m a current Airline Pilot with over 14 years of global commercial flying experience, certified across 6 continents. Originally from France, I began my aviation journey in Canada and went on to build a career that took me across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East—and back again. Today, I fly the Boeing 787 for a major Asian airline, with over 1,500 hours on type. My monthly roster typically includes long-haul and regional operations, giving me the flexibility to also share what I’ve learned through personalized tutoring and mentorship. Before the Dreamliner, I was a Senior First Officer on the Boeing 777 (passenger and freighter) based in the Middle East. I started my career on turboprops and eventually became a Captain on the ATR72, which gave me early leadership experience in demanding environments. All combined, I accumulate over 6,000h of flying experience across 6 continents and I am more than happy to talk about it further if this interests or motivates you. What drives me is helping current and aspiring pilots when it comes to airline interview preparation and simulator check readiness. Whether you're a cadet, a transitioning pilot, or preparing for an airline assessment, I’ll help you navigate the pressure and stress so that you can feel confident in your knowledge and skills.

About the lesson

I believe that one can learn a lot through conversation and exchange. Being an Airline pilot, or wanting to become one, is no different from wanting to work in a restaurant, becoming a doctor, or a journalist. It comes with challenges, sacrifices, and hard work. Where my teaching comes in handy is that throughout this journey, I have passed many interviews and selection programs, so to say, I am well accustomed to the methodology in which Airlines process and select their candidates. I will spend time with you and explore those to offer clear guidance and my best tips. The way I design my lesson is typically tailored to what you need and where you are at in your career or job search. It will be practical—and academic if you wish—I believe we need a bit of both, we will discuss and go through what you have, what you want, and how to achieve your goals. For job search tips and prep: -The overall market situation, license and experience requirements; -Insights into resume, cover letter, and application strategy, the dos and don'ts; -Application fill-ups, tips, and suggestions; For Airline interview and preps: -What to expect during the whole interview program; -How to prepare oral interviews (both technical and non-technical); -Coaching for group exercises and stress management; -How to prepare a simulator test and what to expect; -A typical medical evaluation; -How to mentally prepare for the whole selection process, how to overcome stress, pressure, or fear. This part is a huge factor that can decide failure or success for a candidate; -Referrals and the importance of having previous employers vouching for you; -Moving into a new country, expectation vs. reality, pros and cons; On-type questions: B787 -In-depth walkthroughs of B787 systems and airline SOPs with current manuals to help and support us.
