Singing chanson helped me realize how much language shapes the way we perform music. I have spent 13 years teaching thousands of students how to connect with the nuance of French. You might be surprised how easily you pick up nasal sounds when you stop overthinking them. My students range from French learners who want to sing chanson to serious guitar students learning Québécois folk styles.
