About Rivera
Learning a new language is often harder than people think. You might expect long lectures, but my approach focuses on interaction instead.
I use my CELTA training to keep things grounded in practical usage while we explore verb conjugation and cultural context together. We start every single partnership with a diagnostic level test before we build the plan for your specific goals. My 13 years of experience allow me to pivot quickly when a student struggles with a tricky grammar rule or a specific business term.
You can expect a steady, patient environment where we tackle DELF or DALF preparation together. We will build a path forward that feels manageable and clear as we develop your conversational skills.

Teaching started for me back when I finished my degree at Université Laval and earned my CELTA certification. I really love this work.
Federal French exams and immersion support are my daily focus after 13 years in this field. I often work with newcomers and travelers who need to navigate a new cultural landscape. It is always interesting to see how language changes someone's perspective.
My background is rooted in the official language needs of Canada. I enjoy the variety of students I meet. Watching someone gain confidence during a conversation is the most rewarding part of my week. Helping people connect through language remains my favorite part of the job.
