About Sophie

Hi, I’m Sophie it’s nice to meet you!

I’m currently pursuing a master’s degree in English literature and linguistics, and would love to go into teaching afterwards. I enjoy communicating and finding ways to transmit knowledge, all the while also learning from students. I love finding ways to engage students and help foster a safe learning environment.

I also really enjoy learning languages and think it is very useful when travelling, meeting new people, but also for most careers.

About the lesson

I am bilingual in both English and French, and I can help you with spelling, grammar, speaking, listening and learning new vocabulary. I am happy to teach all ages and levels ️

When learning a new language, speaking is always the most difficult. I offer lessons in a very motivating and relaxed atmosphere where the goal is to feel comfortable communicating in French or English without fearing making any mistakes. I aim to make these lessons fun whilst learning from mistakes. I can also help with homework, reading, spelling in both French and English.

I have experience as a substitute teacher in public schools and as a coding instructor for almost 4 years now. I have good communication skills and always aim to make my lessons fun and engaging. A typical lesson is one hour long, but I can also adapt depending on your needs.

Homework can include a very diverse set of exercises depending on your learning style to help you stay engaged and motivated! During a free trial lesson (1h), we'll get to know each other, including your level and goals. If you’d like to continue, all homework and resources will be sent to you by email so you won’t need to buy anything.

I look forward to meeting you!
