About Anthony
At the beginning of my high school journey, I was never that great when it came to math. It wasn't until I reached Year 9 that I had a teacher that actually inspired me to improve on my math skills. He was enthusiastic about the subject, and that led me to become enthusiastic about it as well! I began to study math more, trying to extend myself along the way, which led me to receiving a very high mark at the end of the year. I further developed these habits throughout the remainder of high school, resulting in me receiving the DUX award at the end of Year 12.
This is why a good teacher is necessary to inspire their students to improve. This is also the reason why I run my lessons with a strong focus on conceptual understanding, ensuring that not only do my students ace their assessments but also develop a genuine appreciation for math!

My tutoring approach is centred around the belief that every student has different ways of learning mathematics. I tailor my lessons to cater for each student's requirements, ensuring a personalised and effective learning experience.
The first lesson we'll have will be about establishing the areas of strength of the student as well as areas that can be improved upon. It'll be more of an icebreaker lesson. Then, each proceeding lesson will be tailored to address the specific challenges of the student, as well as extending on existing knowledge. As we approach particular mathematical problems, I'll ask guided questions to test the student's problem-solving skills, encouraging them to truly understand the underlying concepts rather than simply memorising the processes.
This method of teaching has allowed my students to feel more confident with themselves and in their problem-solving abilities in the classroom, with their grades improving significantly.
Lessons will range from 30-90 minutes, allowing for sufficient time to cover topics in depth without your child feeling overwhelmed.
Each lesson is designed to be engaging and interactive, tailored to your child's individual needs, ensuring they maximise their potential in mathematics.
