Hi! I’m Maahi, a dedicated and enthusiastic Grade 12 IB student with a strong passion for math and helping others succeed. About the lesson

As a tutor, my approach is centered around building understanding, not just memorization. I break down math concepts into simple, relatable steps and use visuals, real-life examples, and interactive problem-solving to keep students engaged. My goal is to make math feel less intimidating and more like a puzzle we solve together. A typical lesson starts with a quick warm-up to review past material, followed by introducing a new concept through a visual explanation or a guided example. We then work through practice problems together, with me asking key questions to encourage critical thinking. I end each session with a quick recap and a mini “check-in” to see what the student feels confident about and what we’ll review next time. What sets me apart is that I’m a current IB student who understands what young learners are going through — I’ve been in their shoes recently, and I know how to explain concepts in a way that makes sense to them. I bring energy, patience, and positivity to every lesson, and I adapt my style to what each student needs most — whether it's extra practice, encouragement, or creative ways to look at math differently. My lessons are designed for elementary and middle school students (Grades 1–8) who need help in math, whether they’re catching up or aiming to get ahead. I also welcome students in gifted or enrichment programs who want to stretch their skills in a fun, low-pressure environment.
