About Samkit

I’m a Year 9 student who really enjoys math and helping younger students understand it better. I’ve done well in school, including placing in the top 10% in a national math Olympiad, earning principal awards every semester, and receiving the math award at my year 6 graduation. I want to teach because I like explaining things clearly and helping primary students feel more confident with their work.

About the lesson

My lessons focus on building strong mathematical foundations for primary school students through clear explanations, structured practice, and step-by-step reasoning. I prioritize understanding over memorization, ensuring students learn how to approach problems confidently and independently.

I typically run 60-minute sessions, which provide enough time to review schoolwork, introduce new concepts, and reinforce skills through guided practice. For younger students or those who prefer shorter lessons, 45-minute sessions are also available.

Although I am currently in Year 9, I bring a strong academic background to my tutoring:
• Top 10% nationally in an Australian Math Olympiad
• Principal awards every semester for achieving six A-grades
• Mathematics Excellence Award at graduation

My lessons are suited to primary school students who need clearer explanations, additional support, or a structured approach to improving their confidence and performance in math.

I teach in Karrinyup and offer both in-person and online lessons, organized in a way that suits your child and works with my availability.
