About Alice
Hi! My name is Alice, and I’m a high school junior with a strong passion for guitar and music. I’ve been playing acoustic guitar since I was 7 years old and started playing bass guitar at 12. I’ve taken professional guitar and bass lessons for over four years, giving me a strong foundation in technique, rhythm, and musicality. I also study university-level music theory at school, which has helped me develop a deeper understanding of music beyond just playing an instrument. I currently play bass guitar in my school’s concert and jazz bands, as well as in my own rock band. I’ve also had the opportunity to perform as part of an All-Star Band, giving me experience playing with different musicians and in a variety of musical settings. Throughout my years of performing, the bands I’ve been part of have earned numerous gold medals and awards at MusicFest and JazzFest. These experiences have helped me become a confident and versatile musician while teaching me the importance of teamwork, preparation, and dedication.

The first session will be a 30-minute introductory lesson where I can get to know the student, their musical interests, and their current skill level. I’ll use this time to understand what they would like to learn and create lessons that are comfortable and appropriate for their experience. Depending on the student’s goals, lessons can focus on learning a specific song, working through music theory worksheets, or progressing through a music book. I’ll adjust my teaching style and pace to match the student’s level, making sure they understand each concept before moving on. After each lesson, I can also assign optional homework or practice exercises to help the student reinforce what we covered and continue improving between sessions. My goal is to make each lesson enjoyable, productive, and tailored to the individual student.
