About Melina
I’m a Kinesiology & Health Science student at York University with a strong passion for biology, human sciences, and helping students succeed. Through my studies, I have developed a strong foundation in biology. I understand that every student learns differently, and a learning approach that works for one person may not work for another. That is why I believe in creating personalized learning plans based on each student’s strengths, challenges, and goals. My goal is to make complex biology concepts easier to understand through clear explanations, engaging lessons, and practice-based learning. I focus on helping students truly comprehend the material rather than relying only on memorization, allowing them to build confidence and develop a deeper understanding of biology.

My lessons are designed to focus on each student’s individual learning needs. I will first listen to the areas they find challenging and identify what concepts they do not fully understand. From there, I will create personalized lessons that break down difficult biology topics into simpler, clearer explanations. We will work through practice questions and activities to strengthen their understanding, focusing on true comprehension rather than relying only on memorization. My goal is to help students build confidence, develop critical thinking skills, and gain a deeper understanding of biology.
