About Scott
I have loved math my entire life. Even as a student, I would spend free periods and part of lunch helping my peers with challenging topics. While majoring in mathematics, I gained an appreciation for higher level math and was able to see the connections to math learned in grades K-12. My passion is instilling a love for mathematics in all of my students, and I try my best to do this on a daily basis.

My lessons start with a warmup to get the math juices flowing. I the proceed to do a mini lesson on a topic or multiple topics to teach the mathematical concept while engaging with the student. I will ask clarifying and deeper thinking questions and clear up misconceptions. Then we will do practice problems to make sure the student has the procedural knowledge and can apply the skills they have learned. If time permits, I will end with a challenge or real life application problem.
