About Amarie

I have had English averages in the 90s throughout high school. Tackling new literatures (Shakespeare, short stories, media literacy, indigenous literature, etc.) I am confident in my ability to think deeply and express those thoughts with clear intention. Additionally, I am comfortable working with children ages 6-12 - volunteering at Jiu-Jitsu classes for kids or Toronto’s CampTO. And so, I use these skills to understand a student’s confusion and communicate the next steps to improvement.

About the lesson

During the sessions, I offer: - support in improving grammar, spelling, and word flow in writing assignments - practice reading between the lines and understanding ideas - demonstrations on how to present with clarity and confidence. For students in grade 1 to grade 8. As a young student myself, I can recall the learning challenges that can impact a child’s learning journey. With that awareness, I look to connect with the students by learning about their interests and learning styles.
