My approach to teaching is the same way I study. I visualize material through diagrams, listen to it using Youtube, and make notes for myself. Once someone can express material in more than 1 way, it stays in their head. This way of learning is engaging and much more flexible.
I am a current high school student, who was previously in French immersion and IB. I excel in Biology and English but also am comfortable touring Chemistry and Social Studies (US history). Some of my creative writing pieces have been published in poetry collections, and I enjoy research-based essay writing. I am proficient in conversational French, Hindi, and Tamil, but would prefer aiding with English writing and technical skills.
-I have learned independence through the YMCA summer work exchange 2017. During the program, I worked full time in a French-speaking radio station as a researcher and speaker (La voix de St. Lo). And worked 1 day a week at a local daycare. I helped children with behavioral issues socialize and supervised outings.
-Volunteered at the QEH front and information desk summer of 2016. I am adept at working in customer service, with large groups, and intense environments.
Volunteered at Pediatrics at QEH hospital in the summer, I am comfortable caring for children.
Volunteered for 6 weeks at the Confederation Library during weekends for the Book Buddies program, I work well with children and can keep them engaged.
-I am the ACIC youth ambassador for 2017/18. I have experience organizing events and recruiting volunteers. I am proficient in advertising through media outlets.
