About Mike

I was an intelligent and teachable student but sometimes the teachers I had did not inspire me or have the time to offer more to make me successful. It was only after I left high school that I learned very quickly some habits of mind that made me change from a"C+" student to getting A's in college. I became a teacher because I had an aptitude for it, but more importantly I wanted to try and erase the problem that many of my older colleagues were constrained to from lack of time or interest. I am dedicated to helping you achieve a good grade but also help you to develop habits of mind for studying at school and beyond.

About the lesson

Are you struggling with most standard subjects like Math, English or other core curricular areas? I can help! As an experienced classroom teacher, I can understand the outcomes your teacher wants you to master and give you practice and advice on how to achieve better results. While the teacher is an excellent resource to learn from, sometimes concepts can prove harder to learn and require more individualized instruction/help than they can possibly offer in a classroom of 30 students.
