About Eleanor

After having lived in Paris for 5 years honing my skills as a portrait painter, I'm now back in England and am looking forward to spreading my love for the french language and culture. As a writer and artist, I'm sincerely passionate about the subjects I teach, and as such, manage to instill some smidgen of interest in even the most disinterested of students! I expect excellence from myself as much as from my students - to excel in learning is to live to the highest degree. Life, for me, is learning; and I adore more than anything to see a student become aware of the progress they're making.

About the lesson

Patient, structured; caring, dynamic, and disciplined. With 8 years of experience tutoring and teaching in both England and France, and with a demeanor that tends to elicit a sincere motivation on the part of the student, I expect to see real, sustainable progress in both confidence and skill as a result of my lessons.

After the initial lesson, I will, according to my observations of the individual student and the materials and expectations of their school, develop an adaptable and challenging lesson plan using my own materials and exercises. I also allow plenty of space for fun, and depending on the age and subject, will integrate plenty of art and play, and texts which conform to the interests of the pupil.
