About Liza

Geography graduate and qualified teacher (King's College London; UCL's Institute of Education). 25 years + experience (QTS, enhanced DBS). I have taught all units to A-Level as Head of Geography in high-performing UK grammar school, state and international school. With my knowledge and pedagogy, I am here to help you achieve your goals. Over a decade of private tutoring and examiner experience (GCSE and A-Level) means I can help with the nature and nuance of examination questions. My students enjoy exceptional success in Geography! Some are seeking to boost a grade after mocks, many have secured full UMS on papers, and several have attained nationally high achieving marks. I work hard to personalise learning and bring Geography to life!

About the lesson

What I Offer: Exceptional support and expertise leading to my students achieving outstanding results in GCSE and A-Level. Typically I offer blocks of 1-hour personalised online sessions for KS3 to A-Level. I have decades of teaching GCSE and A-Level (Edexcel, AQA, OCR, WJEC and CIE) and examining experience. I tailor sessions to cover any physical or human topic. I also help students with geographical skills, fieldwork and NEA papers. I offer a free short lesson to learn more about what you want from the sessions. I then plan and deliver engaging sessions revolving around best pedagogical practice. My sessions typically include a mix of knowledge boosting, retrieval, geographical skills, and past paper application. I offer constructive feedback to boost performance and confidence! As a former Director of Sixth Form and Careers Adviser, I also offer expert advice on university applications, UCAS and specialist applications such as Oxbridge, Law and Medicine.
