About Graeme

I have wide ranging experience of teaching all year groups and levels in Modern Studies. I have significant experience of leading my department as subject leader and have played a key role in the extended leadership of my current school. I have had responsibility for developing professional learning for student teachers and managing the development of staff. I have always had a passion for my subject and this comes across in my learning and teaching strategies. Any student taught by me has a very experienced practitioner who is very adept with SQA exams.

I am also an Education Scotland Associate in Social Studies with a key role in the Curriculum Improvement Cycle for Scottish education. This is giving me an in depth insight and leading role in the changes to Social Studies.

About the lesson

Through my experience of classroom teaching, as well as writing subject textbooks, I have developed a varied range of interesting and interactive topics and lessons. I am highly skilled in producing sample SQA answers and developing effective revision resources and styles. Every single one of my pupils is effectively prepared for their final exam through content knowledge and interpretation of source detail for skills questions.
