Methodology

• Taught absolute beginner students and pre-intermediate multilingual classes of 25-40 students in English as a Foreign Language
• Employed original and authentic texts; created activities targeting receptive and productive skills and language systems
• Worked with various textbooks like American Headway, Cutting Edge and English File course books
• Wrote a needs-analysis of individual students and tailored lessons accordingly Created and managed creative writing clubs for talented students Hosted well-established poets to share their experiences with students

Background

PhD in English Studies with a focus on comparative literature, translation and poetry. I am also a musician and I enjoy using poetry in my performances which blend together spoken work and jazz/blues music fused with native music from North Africa
