About River
I'm a student in W.L Seaton Secondary, and I've been in French immersion for my entire schooling career. I'm 17 years old, a theater geek, and a sucker for language classes. I really enjoy helping people who want to learn French as a second language, as I've found it to be incredibly useful, and impressive, to have on hand. This past year, I did peer tutoring at Beairsto Elementary, and found so much joy in helping kids learn and understand the French language better, and I want to continue doing that. I've picked up many techniques in helping others learn through my years, and I would love to use them to help whoever I can. I obtained my DELF B2 certificate early, as well as done my French Literacy Provincial, and I really want to keep using my skills after I've completed my French learning to help others achieve French understanding as a second language.

I want to help students move forward and comprehend French as a second language.
For younger students (grades 4 to 7):
- Reading, writing and comprehension games such as reading a story, then asking true or false questions.
- Speaking practice, by playing card/board games in French, or simply having a conversation in French.
For older students (grades 8 to 11):
-Grammar worksheets and lessons to work on together.
-Topics to choose from and have conversations about, to practice for DELF or other exams.
-Reading comprehension, by reading together and talking about the book in French, or simple questions to answer about the book.
I understand the French language quite well, and I have my DELF B2 certificate, and I want to use that knowledge to help others.
