I am a student at McMaster University with a bachelor's degree in history and am soon to receive a Masters degree in history as well. I have my French-speaking certificate and have taught in high school classrooms as well as university level tutorials.

As a teacher, I heavily believe in an open and in-depth discussion. History, French, and English classes thrive on the ability to fully discuss ideas and thoughts through conversation in order to provide students with a clear understanding. As such classes would normally entail me setting a reading or work to be read which would then be introduced through discussion to find themes and important points to examine. With language classes, the focus would be on conversation and writing. Making sure the student knows how to properly articulate their thoughts in a clear and coherent fashion. These classes would be applicable for high school students and some university level students as well.
