I’ve always loved math and science, which is why I’m pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry this fall. About the lesson

As a tutor, I focus on building understanding and confidence. I believe that everyone learns differently, so I tailor my teaching style to fit each student’s needs—whether that means breaking down complex problems step-by-step, creating visual aids, or using real-life examples to make concepts stick. Teaching Methodology & Techniques: Concept-first approach: I make sure you understand the “why” before jumping into memorization or practice. Active learning: I ask guiding questions and encourage students to think aloud—this deepens understanding and builds problem-solving skills. Visuals & analogies: I often use diagrams, graphs, and everyday comparisons to clarify abstract concepts. Pacing and patience: I take time to explain things clearly, without rushing. I'm always open to reviewing something as many times as needed. A Typical Lesson: Quick check-in – What are you struggling with? What’s coming up in class? Mini review – We go over key ideas or past mistakes to build a strong foundation. Guided practice – We work through example problems together, with me explaining and asking questions. Independent practice – You try similar problems with my support, building confidence. Wrap-up – Summary of key takeaways, and a plan for what to work on next.
