I am a student studying architecture. I used to tutor Maths and English to children aged 4-16 at the company explore learning. I also have experience working in schools, running after school art club and gardening club at Stepgates Primary school for 2 years.

I understand that a lot of learning comes down to confidence approaching and tackling a question, I am understanding, patient and make each tutoring session fun!
My teaching method is to first identify what topics are going to be in the exam, create a small test to see the students ability in each area and then go through topics they need help with the most as a priority, which helps build their confidence in class too which accelerates their learning further.
I prefer writing out what is taught as I think a practical approach consolidates the students understanding of the topic.
