Duration : One semester or 4 months (16 weeks) - Price : $250.00 - Place : Toronto (M1C 4T7)This is a masterclass for university students as well as high school students in Advanced Placement (AP) programs. As a college instructor who has worked in applied areas such as Actuarial Science, Data Science, Biostatistics, Statistics, Calculus, Algebra, Economics, Physics, Electrical and Computer Engineering and Computer Science, a wide number of approaches are discussed in an open webinar styled forum. We look at the structure of various real-world problems, how to solve them and we solve them by taking your questions in a minimum hour-long session. Our methodology is: To solve it, or at least understand and formulate the problem symbolically. Our sessions will be a minimum of one hour, however, once we are rolling in a problem-solving mode it can spill over. We will hold weekly sessions or sometimes more per week but our course will run for one semester or 4 months (16 weeks). This is the length of time of the course for those who sign up will have access. We also offer a one-time fee per session of $100 where participants can post a question to the open forum and these problems will be deal with in a sequential manner. Once it is solved the participant will lose access to the course but will have access once the problem is still in our forum to be solved. Course members will pay $250 per semester and will have priority in posing questions to the forum. Our course will start with a few, if not one, introductory sessions to talk about your instructor and the goal I have in creating this course and talk about some of the domains we will primarily start looking at. However, we welcome any applied mathematical problem and work as a group to solve complex problems. This includes special exams like the SAT, MCAT, or GRE. Course fees are non-refundable as we provide access to copyrighted videos of all the sessions. We will take pre-registrations where we want to meet a minimum class size before we start.
