About Asst,prof GUDIMITLA
My Story – G. Haribabu, Assistant Professor in Electrical Engineering I am G. Haribabu, currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, with over 10 years of teaching experience. Throughout my career, I have been deeply committed to delivering quality education and inspiring the next generation of engineers to think critically, solve real-world problems, and innovate responsibly. My academic journey has been driven by a strong passion for core electrical engineering subjects. I specialize in: Electrical Measurements Basic Electrical Engineering High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) Systems Smart Grid Technologies Instrumentation These subjects lie at the intersection of theory and application, and I take pride in helping students connect mathematical and physical principles with practical, modern engineering challenges. Teaching Philosophy and Methods My teaching is built on three pillars: concept clarity, hands-on application, and continuous engagement. I believe in creating a learning environment that is interactive, student-centered, and aligned with industry needs. I emphasize conceptual understanding first, using relatable analogies and clear illustrations before introducing complex equations or systems. Practical exposure is key. I integrate simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, LabVIEW, Multisim, and PSpice into lectures and labs to give students a feel of real-world systems. My classes often include real-time problem-solving sessions, mini-projects, and case studies related to smart grid technologies and HVDC systems. I encourage project-based learning to foster curiosity, independent thinking, and innovation. Many of my students have gone on to present papers or work on capstone projects under my mentorship. Beyond the Classroom In addition to classroom teaching, I regularly guide students in technical events, workshops, and IEEE project work. I believe that learning extends beyond textbooks, and I support students in bridging academic knowledge with technological advancements and research. I remain a continuous learner myself — staying updated with emerging technologies in renewable energy integration, automation, and grid modernization, and bringing those insights into the classroom.

1. Conceptual Foundation First
I prioritize building strong foundational understanding in core subjects such as circuit theory, electromagnetics, control systems, and signal processing.
Use real-world analogies to explain abstract concepts (e.g., water flow analogy for current and voltage).
2. Problem-Based Learning (PBL)
Assign real-life engineering problems for students to solve in groups.
Encourage critical thinking and application of theoretical knowledge.
Example: Designing a power supply circuit to meet a specific set of requirements.
