About Swathi

I'm a Mechanical Engineering Masters student at the University of Pennsylvania. I graduated with a B.Tech in MechE from IIT Madras, where I spent my time working on really cool Origami Research.

Honestly, getting into IIT wasn't about being the smartest person in the room. I got there by figuring out how to learn Math and Physics; the right ways to approach problems, break them down, and actually retain things. I love this stuff, and over time I've built systems that genuinely work. That's what I teach my students, not just the syllabus, but how to think through a problem.

About the lesson

These classes are designed for students in Classes 7 to 9, for those who understand the basics of Math and Science but want to build the confidence and depth to consistently score well in school exams.

My Approach is built around my students, not a fixed script. Helping them to understand the fundamentals and develop systems to help them with their academics.

Typical Structure of a Session:
Quick Recap (5–10 min): We revisit what was covered last class with 2–3 quick questions. This keeps concepts fresh without feeling like a test.
Concept Explanation (15–20 min): I introduce the new topic using real-world examples your child can relate to, not just textbook definitions. Math and Science make far more sense when connected to everyday life.
Worked Examples Together (10–15 min): We solve problems together first. I don't just show the answer, I walk through how to think about the problem, so your child learns the process, not just the solution.
Your Child Solves Independently (10–15 min): I give a few problems and observe where they hesitate or go wrong. This is where real learning happens — and where I catch gaps before they become habits.
Open Doubt Time (10 min): Any doubt from today's class or from school gets addressed fully.

What Parents Can Expect:
Children coming home with fewer "I don't understand this" moments. Attempting problems instead of leaving them blank
Asking better questions in school because the concepts are clear.
