About Muhammad
I'm currently an undergraduate student at Imperial College London, studying Electrical and Electronic Engineering. I'm passionate about Maths and Physics and enjoy helping students develop their understanding, build confidence and achieve their academic goals.
I achieved A* grades in Maths and Physics, alongside A grades in Further Maths, Economics and EPQ at A-Level. At GCSE, I achieved all grade 9s and one grade 7. Having worked hard to achieve these results myself, I understand the importance of effective revision, exam preparation and developing a strong foundation in each subject.
I have over two years of tutoring experience, including a year working at a professional tutoring company, where I received extensive training to develop and refine my teaching skills. I have also gained experience through private tutoring and volunteering as a tutor in schools.
These experiences have allowed me to work with students of different abilities and backgrounds, helping me become a more adaptable, engaging and effective tutor. Through professional training and practical teaching experience, I have developed a better understanding of how to communicate difficult concepts clearly and support students in overcoming academic challenges.
As someone who has recently experienced GCSEs and A-Levels myself, I can relate to the pressures students face, whether that's preparing for important exams, managing their workload or struggling with challenging topics. I aim to use both my academic experience and tutoring background to provide students with the support and reassurance they need.
Ultimately, I find tutoring incredibly rewarding, particularly when a student begins to understand something they previously found difficult or achieves a result they didn't think was possible. I hope to help students not only improve their grades, but also gain greater confidence in their own abilities.

I firmly believe that any student is capable of achieving excellent results with enough dedication, effort and the right guidance. My lessons are designed to help students develop the confidence, understanding and skills needed to reach their full academic potential.
My teaching approach focuses heavily on developing problem-solving and critical thinking skills, as I believe these are essential for success in Maths and Physics. Rather than simply teaching students to memorise formulae and methods, I encourage them to think independently and work through challenging problems.
I place particular emphasis on understanding a student's thought process rather than just their final answer. This allows me to identify misconceptions, address gaps in their knowledge and strengthen their understanding of fundamental concepts. When students encounter difficulties, I break down complex problems into smaller, more manageable steps, guiding them towards finding solutions themselves.
I understand that every student is unique, which is why I tailor my lessons to their individual abilities, learning styles and academic goals. Whether a student is struggling with a particular topic, looking to improve their exam technique or aiming for the highest grades, I adapt my teaching to suit their needs.
Alongside developing a strong understanding of the subject, I incorporate exam-style questions and past papers to familiarise students with exam expectations and help them apply their knowledge effectively under exam conditions.
I also aim to support students beyond individual lessons, offering guidance on independent revision, study techniques and managing their workload where appropriate.
My lessons are aimed at GCSE and A-Level students studying Maths, Further Maths and Physics. Above all, I strive to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and challenging themselves.
