About Olga
My approach to music education has always been that first and foremost it has to be fun for my pupils. I am always seeking to further expand my experience.
I have summarised my experience and qualifications below:
Masters Degree in Music
CT ABRSM
Dip ABRSM (teaching)
QTS
Experienced in teaching piano/keyboard and music theory since 1992, both as a private tutor and also at the following schools:
Harpur Music School, Bedford
Technics Music Academy, Abingdon
The Abingdon Music Centre / Abingdon Music Practice
The Matrix Music School & Arts Centre
A recognised tutor for ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal School of Music) and Trinity examination boards
Member of the European Piano Teachers Association (EPTA )
Completed ABRSM Jazz course with Tim Richards.
Regularly participate in professional development courses, e.g. “The Virtuoso Teacher” with Paul Harris and “Improvisation Course” with Dorothy Shaw.
Played with swing/jazz bands for a number of years and take part and support numerous local musical events and festivals.
