As the Principal Designer at Design Mould, Bangalore, with over 10 years of industry experience, I am deeply passionate about empowering the next generation of designers.

I believe that the right guidance and motivation are essential in shaping a successful career, therefore fostering a thriving design community.

Perfect! Ranjitha has this awesome knack for simplifying difficult concepts. She is a teacher par excellence and extremely structured in her approach. But best of all is her knowledge of the interior design and architecture craft, and her experience working on client projects gives her an edge when it comes to sharing practical tips and tricks of the trade for someone looking to explore design as a hobby or professionally. My favorite topic taught by her was colour theory, and how different combinations of colour impact how we experience the world around us.

She has been very patient and was able to perfectly guide me and deliver the knowledge and guidance exactly what I was looking for.

Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?
Interior design is a subject that deals with both technicality and creativity at the same time. It plays a very pivotal role in bringing comfort and emotional balance to the inhabitants of any space. It employs science and psychology to bring the right conditions required for a specific task and intended space.
What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?
I was interested in the subject from my school days, I loved how we could employ creativity in everyday life. Over the years I have enjoyed how positively and efficiently we can impact the lives of people with our profession.
How does your work help society?
More recently, I'm motivated to teach myself o bridge the gap between young aspirants and industry professionals. In the wake of deteriorating industry standards and the lack of rightful credits for our services, I'm inspired to grow a sensible community of young aspirants who are the future of a strong design service industry. Knowledge and industry insights will help bridge the gap and find the deserving recognition.
If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?
My role model is every design professional who works hard towards enriching the experiences of the people and delivering to their best interests. An honest effort at work is a godly trait.
Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.
My hobbies outside of teaching are attending talks, and workshops, exploring new stuff, and acquiring new skills. I love reading and binge-watching.
Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?
the anecdote that best describes my motto in life, in general, is "been there, done it all!" and I'm on the path towards it, and will always strive to explore and experience.
