About Lahaina

Hey future student! My name is Lahaina and I am hoping you choose me to be your tutor to help progress you through the school year! If you’re nervous about how you’re doing in school or even to start tutoring (maybe feeling a bit embarrassed), don’t worry! I’ll make sure to make this as fun, interactive, and tailored to you the best I can! Tutoring isn’t just about succeeding in your academics - it’s also so you can build academic confidence! Everyone, including you, is smart. Sometimes people just need a little extra guidance!

About the lesson

I love to create a positive environment for my students as it helps keep them motivated and excited to learn!
I enjoy starting off my tutoring journey with a student by doing small check ins to pinpoint exactly where they’re struggling the most. Then, based off the type of math they’re needing help with, I’ll build tailored lesson plans and worksheets for each student!

What sets me apart? I’ve been tutoring for about 6 years. I’ve ran tutoring clubs (Sum Special Tutors), helped family/friends out, and have a strong passion to help others succeed. I bring a positive and tailored learning experience which all my students have benefited from. They all tend to exceed their grade level whenever my tutoring is over!

My lessons are for grades 1 to 9 mathematics!
