About Natalie
I am an international, prize-winning harpist, educator, and performing musician who recently relocated to London from Hong Kong. As a teacher, I have received Best Teacher and Outstanding Tutor Awards at international music competitions and festivals, reflecting both my teaching approach and my students’ achievements. I have over six years of teaching experience working with students aged 5 to 70, from beginners to advanced and pre-professional levels. Alongside teaching, I maintain an active performing career and have released a flute and harp album, Après un Rêve, under Da Vinci Classics. I have appeared as a concerto soloist in orchestral concerts and have given solo, duo, and chamber recitals in Tokyo, Yokohama, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and the United Kingdom. My performances include appearances at the USA International Harp Competition, the World Harp Congress and the Taiwan International Harp Festival, with collaborations alongside various artists such as Alan Walker (DJ), Hins Cheung (singer) and Marc Grauwels (flautist). I work regularly as a freelance orchestral harpist with the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, Hong Kong Sinfonietta (including Guest Principal appearances), Hong Kong Chamber Orchestra, and Hong Kong Festival Wind Orchestra. I began my musical training through the HKAPA Junior Music Programme and was offered early admission to the Bachelor of Music degree at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, completing my studies with First Class Honours, the Director’s Award, and multiple scholarships. I am currently pursuing my Master of Music at the Royal Academy of Music, studying under Skaila Kanga on full scholarship supported by the Hong Kong Jockey Club Music and Dance Fund. Teaching is central to my musical life, and I am passionate about guiding students towards confident, expressive, and ambitious musicianship.

My aim is to inspire students of all ages to fall in love with music even more while developing strong technical skills, musical confidence, and artistic curiosity. I encourage every student to enjoy and understand each piece they play, with lessons fully tailored to individual goals. With experience teaching students aged 5 to 70, I am confident in supporting a wide range of learning styles and aspirations. I specialise in transcriptions from classical piano to Disney and jazz, and students may have the opportunity to study and perform my original, unpublished arrangements. I particularly enjoy working with motivated students who wish to perform regularly, take part in competitions, and grow through ensemble and chamber music experiences.
