About Anthony
Anthony has been teaching Irish-Gaelic for 20 years. He has led Gaelic-language and Irish-studies classes of all shapes and sizes, from his work as a lecturer at the University of California Santa Barbara, the University of Limerick, and the University of Ulster, to community nightclasses with beginners in places from Washington DC to Holywood, Co. Down. He has a first-class BA in Celtic Studies and Spanish from Queen's University, Belfast, a first-class MPhil in Irish Studies from NUI Galway, and a Ph.D. in Ethnomusicology from the University of Limerick. He also has professional and practical experience in the fields of folklore, heritage, traditional music, anthropology, and sociology. Anthony is a regular contributor to the national Irish-language radio station Raidió na Gaeltachta and has been a broadcaster with Raidió Fáilte. He lives with his family in Bangor, Co. Down.
