About GIANNI

I've given private lessons of Latin and History at Uni
I started giving private lessons of Italian when I was living in Berlin (2004-2005)
Now, since 2 years I'm teaching in a private school in Manchester (just a few hours per week).
In this school, I've always started from the beginner 1: some of them arrived to have an intermediate level, some others just moved to Italy as they felt they learnt enough to start the real Italian experience :)

I also give lessons to students for their exams in Italian literature and history

About the lesson

I am a part-time Italian teacher currently based in Manchester.
I have a Master's Degree in Literature and a PhD in History.

For about 2 years I've been teaching Italian in a private school (class of about 10 people, all adults).
I use to give lessons to both beginners and advanced.

The approach I use is different by the people I am teaching to:

1) Beginners: I always start with the spelling of the alphabet and then straight away with small sentences so that the students can use the words they know.
2) Intermediate: introduce new scenarios where to use new words and new grammar structures
3) Advanced: focused on speaking about different topics (it can be literature, or sport or just by reading newspapers)

Something I use often is the music: listening, writing, alphabet and grammar can all be improved by a good Italian song :)

Perfect! Gianni is a fantastic teacher! He has a very personable approach, and is warm, welcoming and friendly.
He takes time to get to know you and tailors your lesson based on your learning style / lesson needs i.e for fun, business, or like in my case a move to Italy in 6 months.

He is very very patient, and will take things slowly or repeat if needed. And he also isn't a clockwatcher, so will spend an extra few mins giving his time to make sure the lesson is finished or any questions are answered!

His prices are extremely reasonable too given how much you will get in return, and he makes learning online feel fun! I won't be using any other tutors and would 100% recommend Gianni.

She really likes Italian culture so she wants to learn not only the grammar but everything related to Italy.

She is up to have also homework to improve faster and she is flexible about time and day for online lessons.

She is also very nice so you will enjoy your time together :)
