As a person I think everyone should practice what they preach or in this case teach, and also to avoid distractions and deviation to irrelevant discussion a teacher to student relationship should be established and maintained. I make sure to ask your opinion on some certain part of the topic if I notice I don't have your attention.

About the lesson

As a literature teacher, I want to change the idea of literature being boring to some students or most students, in other to achieve that I make sure every class I teach is very interactive, that way I and my students gets to be on the same page. With this method I get to know my pupils strengths and weaknesses and we get to work on it together. Using the first 10-15mins to evaluate the subject of the matter and also point out goals and objectives for that lesson and then the rest of the 50-55mins I get introduce and explain the topic of the day to pupils and also we revise and listen to everyone's takes on the topic. With my little experience as a teacher, I discover that pupils have to be curious about a certain subject to understand properly when being taught. In my opinion I think one should consider introducing literature to pupils from the grades 7-10.
