About Juri

★About Me I used to struggle with language learning myself—but I overcame it, and have spent many years teaching English to children. So I truly understand how hard it can be to stay motivated, to keep going, and to speak with confidence. That’s why I’m here to support you wholeheartedly—from “I don’t get it…” to “I did it!” !! I also spent two years volunteering as a Japanese teacher. I love teaching, and I love helping others learn! I enjoy listening too—so in my lessons, please tell me all about the Japanese things you love. ★Things I Love Japanese food, matcha, historical and nature-filled travel spots, Disney, Hello Kitty, and other cute characters :)

Nice to meet you! I'm Juri, a Japanese teacher based in Tokyo. I offer gentle, slow, and thoughtful lessons that honor your “I don’t get it yet” moments. Let’s learn at your pace, with kindness and care!! ★What are you struggling with? ・Having trouble staying motivated or keeping up with your studies ・Wanting to learn about Japanese culture, food, and travel spots while studying the language ・Looking for lots of conversation practice with a native Japanese speaker ・Feeling nervous or lacking confidence when speaking ・Wanting to set fun, achievable goals to enjoy your learning journey ★Lesson Style & Content ・Learn the basics of hiragana, katakana, and kanji used in daily life ・Strengthen vocabulary and grammar through topics you enjoy (e.g. food, travel, history) ・Use textbooks to build accurate and natural Japanese ・Practice pronunciation to sound more native ・Prepare for the JLPT ★To Everyone Who’s Read This Far If you have any worries, roadblocks, or goals in your Japanese learning journey—or if there’s something about Japan you love and want to explore—please share it with me!
