About Phil

I am a secondary school teacher, with over 20 years of classroom experience. I teach Japanese as a second job, alongside my regular teaching role. In my free time, I like films, music, watching football, martial arts and photography. I am also an avid photographer. Send me a message and feel free to ask me anything else you want to know!

About the lesson

I explain things in very easy to understand terms. As I went through the learning process myself, I am very aware of the necessities of a non-Japanese learner, and I can give you all of the shortcuts to fluency, saving you years of struggle. I have taught Japanese to many students, of all ages, including young children. Although it seems quite daunting, it is actually a very simple language to learn, if presented in the right way. Even though I now live in north London, I still use Japanese on a daily basis and would like to share my skills with those who would like to learn.
