About Asa

In my guitar lessons, we use storytelling, humor, and real-world music to make learning engaging and unforgettable. I love showing how legends shaped their sound—how a single bend from B.B. King could say more than a page of notes. We break down bending and vibrato so they feel natural and expressive, not forced or confusing. Solo phrasing becomes a conversation, not a puzzle, and you’ll learn to shape tone like a painter mixing colors. For those who crave expressive depth or are finding their rhythm a bit later, I offer gentle guidance with clear structure. We build confidence one step at a time, whether you're stepping on stage or just playing in your room. Tone shaping and stage presence aren’t afterthoughts—they’re part of the journey from the very first lesson. Humor helps lighten tricky moments, and stories from real gigs or classic recordings give technique real-world meaning. I’m here to support you, whether you're chasing the blues, finding your groove, or unlocking your voice through the guitar. We’ll work through technical challenges together, without pressure but with purpose. Your progress matters, and I’ll be your biggest cheerleader.

About the lesson

I'm a passionate guitar tutor with a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Guitar and 2 years of teaching experience. I specialize in working with children, teens, and neurodivergent learners, creating a fun, safe, and supportive space where every student feels seen and heard. Music is more than notes—it's a powerful tool for confidence, connection, and self-expression.

My lessons blend structured creativity with repetition and variation, helping students build fluency while staying engaged. Whether it's mastering a favorite song or creating one from scratch, we make progress together. I use interactive tools, games, and hands-on exercises to make learning feel like play, not pressure.

Each session is shaped around your pace and your interests. I believe everyone has their own rhythm, and it’s my joy to help you find yours. Jazz is my foundation, but I love exploring all genres and helping students discover what excites them most.
