About Callie

I’m a guitar teacher with over 10 years of experience and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Guitar Studies. My passion is helping adult learners rediscover the joy of music, especially those returning to guitar after years away. I understand how intimidating it can feel to pick up the instrument again, but I believe it’s never too late to start or to play better than ever.

My lessons are flexible, personalized, and completely judgment-free. You learn at your own pace, focusing on progress that feels meaningful to you. Whether your goal is to play your favorite songs, explore fingerstyle techniques, or build confidence performing, I’m here to guide every step.

Each session combines practical skill-building with fun, engaging exercises that keep you motivated. I focus on technique, musicality, and real-world application, ensuring every lesson feels rewarding.

About the lesson

My teaching approach focuses on helping students become confident, expressive, and versatile guitarists. I emphasize strong fundamentals while encouraging creativity and personal style. Lessons are tailored to each student’s goals, whether exploring acoustic, classical, or contemporary music. I also include music production basics, teaching recording, layering, and arranging to enhance your overall sound. Loop layering is a key tool I use to help students create full, rich performances on their own.

Improvisation is taught as a natural, flowing process, helping you develop phrasing, timing, and emotional expression. For students who enjoy intricate fingerwork, I provide exercises and repertoire to strengthen dexterity and musical sensitivity. Those drawn to classical precision receive guidance on tone, technique, and structured practice. I also focus on stage-style playing, helping you build confidence, presence, and connection with an audience.

Each lesson is supportive, flexible, and paced to your comfort level. You’ll learn in a judgment-free environment while achieving real progress.
