About Jonathan
I have played the alto and tenor saxophones for nine years, and I’m in my fourth year at MacEwan University. In my bands I have won the MusicFest Canada Honour Award, an Improv Excellence Scholarship, and have gone through to many showcases in competition.

My strategy as a teacher is to always find something specific and engaging for you to work on. My hope is that your practice sessions are never spent wondering what to do or how to get better. If you struggle with what I show you and don’t know how to practice it, we’ll work on it together. In all, my main goal of these lessons is to instill a love for playing and curiosity about all that the saxophone can do.
