About Merris

My name is Mariana. I am a journalism student in college. I have been tutoring students in a range of middle school throughout high school for about 5 years. I have two mother tongues, meaning I grew up speaking two languages from early childhood. So I can easily help you with your spanish and english homework.

I understand that everyone learns differently and it is important to find the methods that work best for you. So I will work on making my tutoring sessions fun, personalized and as useful as possible so you can quickly become fluent in Spanish.

About the lesson

My teaching methods are generally based on grammar and vocabulary, building a strong foundation in grammar and vocabulary is crucial for learning any language. This includes learning verb conjugation, sentence structure, and common vocabulary words.

As well as practice,regular practice is key to learning any language. This includes speaking, listening, reading, and writing in Spanish. It is also helpful to practice with a tutor or language exchange partner.

I really like to engage in conversation with students so they can practice in bettering their conversation skills (in spanish). A typical lesson plan consists on talking, engaging in conversation and helping with any assignments the student might be having a hard time with.

This lessons are for middle school and high school students.
