About Cormac

For me as a person I just want to try and give people a reassuring jump into the next stage of their learning.
Whether it's maths/physics or music I want it to be a safe moment where the student can ask what they want without judgement if the question is "silly" or "basic" especially as I myself have struggled with the basic concepts in the early stages of secondary school before moving past that and ending up in labs studying physics at a university standard.

When it come to music I have had many moments myself over the years whilst preforming on both huge stages and in exams so I now wish to both help students prepare for exams and even starter performance to allow them to build confidence by learning from my experiences (trust me I have some very entertaining ones for anyone but the person at the centre in the moment) and applying the information to their own to hopefully live up to their utmost potential.

For the most part I can be quite blunt and tend not to sugarcoat my views which at times is both beneficial and curt. It will never be anything bad but it will be to the point as to the improvements that can be made. However it's never just criticism and will always have a constructive element as I do not believe in a critique without a cause of how to improve.

About the lesson

Lessons willing to be Given either in person or online for Physics / Maths to a Leaving Cert. / 1st year University level online / in person.
Music in person.

Typical approach is either exam questions with simpler versions laid out to build up if necessary for physics / maths.

Music lessons will be progressively more technical pieces with exercises as well focused on either an exam or performance style upon initial request / definition.

Qualifications for Physics and Maths:
3rd year astrophysics student in DCU.

Qualifications for music:
Grade VIII piano (RIAM), Grade VI Cello (ABRSM), Guitar teaching (references available upon request)
Concerts played with the CBOI in venues such as Carnegie hall, The RDS, The M&S bank arena and the SSE arena amongst many others using the Cello as well as performance experience.

Areas in person include Co. Louth and Dublin City area

Lessons either 30 mins or 60 mins.

Specific content can be sent to me in advance of a lesson at no extra cost.

Guitar - all ages
