About Avery
I am a junior Clinical Psychology major with LSU Alexandria's online program. When I am not doing schoolwork, I am tutoring for a local family Monday through Thursdays (don't worry, I'm always done by 12:30 at the latest)! Education has always been very important to me and something I truly love! I owe a great deal of that to tutors I had growing up. They found a way to make learning fun for me, which is exactly what I always try to do with my own students now! Rest assured, I will always do my best to find a way to make the material interesting for you so that you don't just HAVE to learn it, you WANT to! There is no better moment for me than seeing that lightbulb go off and the material click for one of my students. I'd love to help make that moment happen for you or your family member.

My goal is to always find a way to relate the materials to the student. The more you have something interesting to associate the materials with, the easier it becomes for you to retain them. That's why I always take the time to learn more about my students. They are never just another number or paycheck to me, they're someone whose success I value greatly!
I primarily specialize in elementary-level mathematics, but I am comfortable teaching up to freshman-level Algebra.
